Our Glamping Checklist: The Comfort Upgrades Actually Worth Packing
Updated: Jul 16
There's camping, and then there's glamping. Once you've upgraded a few key pieces of gear, there's no going back. These are the products that turned "roughing it" into something we genuinely look forward to every summer. None of this is essential to survive a weekend outdoors, but every single item on this list has earned its spot in our packing routine.

Extra-Padded Camping Chair
After years in a regular camping chair, this became our new favorite piece of gear, full stop. Hours by the fire finally feel comfortable. (I have thick thighs so the extra-wide feature is amazing)

Large Tent (8-10 person)
Say what you want, but a bigger tent is a game changer for storage and breathing room. You can actually stand up and change clothes without tripping over an air mattress mid-heatwave. We use our 8-person tent as just the two of us, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Dining Tent
This is a staple for anyone like me who HATES bugs and (sometimes) the sun. Whether you're eating a meal or looking to play some cards without getting attacked by mosquitoes - this one makes the list.

Insulated Coffee Tumbler
It almost didn't make the list, but ugh, it's so nice to have drinks hot or cold for hours, and this one is hands-down our favourite. Not a necessity, but once you have it, you'll realize why we love it so much.

Portable Charger
Our saving grace! This beautiful machine kept our fan running at full speed for SIX hours during a heat wave. And for that, I'm grateful and will recommend this over and over!

Lifted Air Mattress
As someone who hates bugs but loves camping, the idea of an air mattress that doesn't touch the ground sounded perfect. We've tried regular air mattresses in the past, and this one doesn't deflate as quickly. The pump is easily accessible for a quick air top-up if needed! Bonus: you can store things underneath.

String Lights
They're really just for vibes and some extra lighting when camping and enjoying a fire. We love these because they're weatherproof, but any outdoor string lights will do!

Hot Plate Stovetop
After using propane stove tops for years, we switched to this and love it! It feels much safer in our opinion. The portable charging dock comes in handy for this!

Whether you've booked an electric site, a non-electric site, or are staying in a tent or a camper, these small additions will make your life a little easier and provide some added comfort!
